Mónica Molina Barzola

Biografía
PhD candidate in Economics and Business with a major in Business at Rey Juan Carlos University (Spain). She is the Coordinator of Entrepreneurship at the Bolivarian University of Ecuador (UBE) and holds a Master’s in Senior Management as well as a Master’s in International Business & Trade Management.
Her research areas include business, gender equality, commerce, female entrepreneurship, rural entrepreneurship, and economic empowerment. She currently works as an international consultant in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, specializing in the development of social and sustainable business models.
Previously, she served as Lead Manager of Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation at CEPAMG & IPPFRHO (2020-2023) and as Director of Research at Universidad Laica Vicente Rocafuerte de Guayaquil (2014-2017). She has extensive experience designing and implementing entrepreneurship and innovation programs for women, applying Human-Centered Design and Design Thinking methodologies.
Her recent publications focus on sustainable development, female entrepreneurship, and organic certification in Ecuador. She has participated in numerous international conferences on entrepreneurship, gender, and rural development.
As part of the MakerWomen&STEM project, her activities include mentoring, certification, knowledge dissemination, and the creation of a research network for the Maker@Women-STEM initiative.
