Biografía

He holds a degree in Mathematics Education from the University of Antioquia (Colombia). At this university he also studied a Master’s Degree in Education and a Doctorate in Education. His doctoral line is the formation of teachers and the teaching of mathematics in the historical-cultural perspective. Diego is the Director of the Pedagogical Model of CEIPA (Colombia), where he leads the processes of curriculum development, teacher training, national and international relations in academic, pedagogical and research issues. Diego Perez’s areas of interest are Curriculum, New Technologies, Mathematics Education, STEM Education, Curriculum Development, Methodologies for Teaching and Learning Mathematics, Philosophy of Mathematics Education, among others. Currently, Professor Diego advises master’s and doctoral theses in areas such as mathematics education, pedagogy and science didactics.
